Accountability
Full public disclosure and responsible oversight
The Parks & Conservation Program would provide full public disclosure and leverage responsible oversight. Several different mechanisms would be set in place to ensure accountability to the public and ensure wise stewardship of the funding acquired through the program.
Quarterly Updates
A publicly published online dashboard/report detailing revenue collected, bond proceeds, active project budgets, payees, contract status, and spending allocations.
Annual Audits
This program requires an independent financial and compliance audit every year, presented publicly and
posted online.
Council Oversight
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Council will have collective expertise in public financing or audit, and report findings to Board of County Commissioners at least annually.
